📌 Eligibility: Swedish SMEs in semiconductor design, development, production, research and innovation, with approved pilot line access.
Swedish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working in semiconductor development now have a significant opportunity through Vinnova’s Chips JU call for proposals. This call supports the use of Europe’s advanced Chips JU pilot lines for testing, validation, proof-of-concept, and prototype development of new semiconductor technologies.
Under this call, eligible SMEs can apply for up to SEK 3.5 million per project to access pilot line services that enable the development of new processes, materials, components, and system-level innovations. The funding aims to strengthen competitiveness, facilitate innovation, and support the creation of intellectual property.
Pilot lines within the Chips JU framework include leading infrastructures such as NanoIC, FAMES, APECS, WBG, and PIXEurope, offering access to state-of-the-art facilities for research, prototyping, and validation.
This call is ideal for companies seeking to leverage Europe’s research infrastructure to accelerate innovation in semiconductor technologies, from materials and components to full process development and prototype validation. The Swedish Chips Competence Centre (SCCC) is available to provide support and guidance throughout the application process.
