The Swedish Chips Competence Centre (SCCC) is proud to take part in IGEday: Introduce a Girl to Engineering, hosted by Chalmers Industriteknik. The event is part of a nationwide initiative to spark curiosity, confidence and long-term interest in technology and engineering among young girls.
During the day, participants will step into a world shaped by chips, semiconductors, advanced materials and quantum technology. Through hands-on activities and lab visits, they will explore how cutting-edge research becomes real-world solutions. Highlights include producing graphene, discovering how semiconductors and quantum technologies influence modern society, and meeting engineers who work at the frontier of innovation.
From SCCC, Jonna Hynynen and Elisabeth Sagström-Bäck will be on site to share their experiences, answer questions and show how diversity strengthens both engineering and the future of the semiconductor ecosystem.
