Gain practical experience in designing and simulating photonic integrated circuits based on 2D materials during this three-day hands-on training.
Participants will work with industry-standard design tools, including KLayout, and explore Process Design Kits (PDKs) from leading 2D photonics partners. The programme covers layout design, design rule checking, simulation and fabrication preparation, with hands-on exercises throughout.
The training is organised as part of the EU-funded 2D Pilot Line (2D-PL), within the Graphene Flagship initiative, and is co-hosted by EUROPRACTICE and imec.
It offers researchers, engineers and technology developers an opportunity to build practical skills in emerging 2D material photonics and connect with experts working to advance these technologies.
