SCCC provides several online training resources to help companies and researchers succeed in the semiconductor industry:

MicroElectronics Training

MicroElectronics Training, Industry and Skills (Metis – Metis4Skills) was a European project dedicated to addressing the skills gap in the microelectronics sector. Metis was active between 2019 and 2023.

The European Chips Skills Academy (ECSA)

ECSA is project supported by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program. ECSA serves as the central hub for chips-related education in Europe. It provides data-driven analysis to anticipate future skills needs and supports initiatives for upskilling, reskilling, and workforce matching.

Coursera

Coursera showing online courses related to semiconductors — including topics like semiconductor physics, devices, manufacturing, characterization, packaging, and cleanroom fundamentals.

Coursera is an online learning platform that offers courses, specializations, and certificates from universities and industry partners around the world. Many courses can be audited for free (access to videos and materials) or taken for a certificate with a subscription/fee.

Courses from other CCCs​

 AT-C3 (TU-Graz)

AT-C3, the Austrian chips competence centre, currently offers online courses on EdX and iMooX.

Current courses:​

  • ElectrOniX. ElectrOniX is a four-part course series including Amplifier, Digital, Resonance and Power iMooX ​​
  • Electromagnetic compability essentials EdX

Both courses are offered free of charge.

Free Industry Courses at KTH

IH2659 – Nanofabrication Technologies (7.5 ECTS)

IH262V – Power Semiconductor Devices (7.5 ECTS)
