Great turnout at the SCCC User event

The first annual user meetup for startups, SME´s and larger industrial actors, organised by the Swedish Chips Competence Centre, SCCC, was held at Stena Center for startups in Gothenburg on 26 November. The event targeted the needs of the industry, presenting opportunities provided by the five pilot lines, with a special focus on the Swedish node of the Wide Bandwidth Gap (WBG) pilot line with broad national engagement in Gothenburg, Linköping, Lund and Stockholm.

Life-long learning – what is needed?

A major focus was discussions in smaller groups on how to cater for the needs of industry and SME´s on formats and content in e.g courses, longer training offers, microcredentials. What is most useful to grow and strengthen the Swedish semiconductor industry short and longterm? We need to ensure that the right skills are developed in a rapidly evolving semiconductor landscape.

The day also offered a deep dive in the WBG Pilot Line | future power electronics and a session on IP Strategy for startups and investors, ending with a much-appreciated visit to the Nanofabrication Lab at Chalmers.

Let us continue the dialogue and develop successful services

Leaving the event with comments like “Great discussions and networking!” “The SCCC can really make a difference”. “There is a hugh potential for collaboration between academia and industry”, the SCCC team will now work on a plan how to best provide useful formats for training and technology offers for 2026 and beyond.
